Served popularly as a glaze on Korean fried chicken, this authentic recipe lets you try Yangnyeom sauce right at home.
Ingredients
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons gochujang
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon strawberry jam
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon garlic, finely grated
Black pepper, to taste
Directions
Whisk together all the ingredients together till combined well.
Use immediately or store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for no more than 1 week.
Use the Yangnyeom sauce for fried chicken, or even with crisp fried tofu or stir-fried vegetables.
Recipe Note
You can substitute the strawberry jam with the same quantity of brown sugar.
